TikTok Shop Performance Score (SPS): What It Measures and How to Raise It

Your Shop Performance Score (SPS) is TikTok Shop’s report card for your store. It sums up how buyers experience your products, your shipping and your customer service in a single number, and TikTok uses it when deciding what your shop can access. If your score slips, growth gets harder. Here is what goes into it and how to bring it back up.

What the score is

SPS is shown on a scale from 0 to 5 in Seller Center. Shops generally need a minimum number of delivered orders in the review period before a score appears, so very new shops may not have one yet. TikTok updates how the score is calculated from time to time, so always check the current breakdown in Seller Center rather than relying on old screenshots.

The three things it measures

Why a low score matters

A healthy SPS is what lets a shop take part in campaigns and promotions, work with affiliate creators, and be shown more widely. A low score can limit those privileges right when you need them. It also tends to fall fastest during a sales spike, when orders outrun your packing capacity. If you have ever had a video go viral, read how to handle a TikTok Shop order spike before the next one.

How to raise a low SPS

  1. Find the weakest area. Open the SPS breakdown and pick the one metric pulling the score down most. Fixing one thing properly beats tinkering with everything.
  2. Look at real cases. Pull the specific orders, reviews or chats behind that metric. Note the product, what went wrong, and what the listing promised.
  3. Fix the cause, not the case. Rewrite misleading listings, change packaging for items that arrive damaged, move to a faster carrier, or add stock buffers so you stop cancelling orders.
  4. Tighten dispatch. Ship within your committed time, upload tracking straight away, and avoid seller cancellations. These are fully within your control.
  5. Answer every message fast, including weekends, and close the loop. A quick reply that does not solve the problem does not help much.
  6. Appeal only with evidence. If a problem was genuinely outside your control, such as a carrier failure, Seller Center lets you submit eligible cases with supporting records.
  7. Review weekly. Give each open issue an owner, a next step and a follow-up date, then check the score again the following week.

Protecting your score as you grow

Most SPS problems come from fulfilment that cannot scale: one person packing, no stock buffer, and messages answered when there is time. Build the process before the volume arrives and your score will hold steady through spikes.

That is exactly what PREP’s TikTok Shop management does: we run your listings, orders and dispatch, and you see every order and its tracking live in your client portal.
